Hot off the Press!

The Alumni Way is energizing alumni!

Dear Friends:

What a time for connection! I have the privilege to meet alumni-facing professionals at Trinity College Dublin. First, Karen Thompson of the University of Auckland, New Zealand where we discussed the immense potential (and the university's success!) connecting alumni to research along with the sustainability agenda. Next, Brittany Russell of Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada, where we explored so many topics over lunch including the importance of professional development for alumni/advancement professionals. My cup is full.

It was timely after such an intense September that some summer work is paying off...

Hot off the Press! This week also marks The Chronicle of Higher Education's publication of Energizing Alumni: Engagement and Advancement for a Strong Institution.

Note: This publication requires a Chronicle subscription or payment. Most universities have a Chronicle subscription via their library- check it out!

Author Alex Kafka of Energizing Alumni features The Alumni Way prominently to reinforce the arguments for building strong savvy alumni. This 66-page publication is inspiring: it features case studies, while highlighting the debates and trends in alumni engagement and engaging alumni in advancement. Put it on your Alumni Friday reading list!

Take a break this week from Alumni Friday challenges. We all need a break. Grab a coffee or tea and dream of energizing alumni (or being an energized alum!).

If you need further inspiration and you are based in Europe, I am delivering a high-powered workshop in Estonia in December. It's free! Check out the details here.

I am often promoting the speaking engagements, workshops and advisory available to you to enhance the sector. If you wish to book something for 2025 and are curious what I can do online or in person setup a Discovery call. I am curious too, so let's discuss!

Your with alumni energy,

Maria
