Supercharging Alumni Connection

Alumni Friday Blue

Read all about Alumni Angel Investors!

Dear friends,

I write you from a sunny spring day in the West of Ireland!

As you know, I am passionate about alumni connection. This week, I am sharing a story of a group of alumni who decided to start an angel investing group for start-ups: Nanyang Angelz. Check out the interview blog post here. By true serendipity I met Ivan and Sam of Nanyang Angelz a few years ago and it led to some insightful conversations and brilliant collaborations (networking at its best!). The blog post even charts The Alumni Way has influenced alumni angel investing! The Nanyang Angelz are exploring ways to share their winning alumni angel investment organization formula so if you want to learn more check out the article!

Supercharge your networking!
Are you/your alumni members of a national alumni network yet?
Next week I am delivering an online session for fellow UK alumni through their new AlumniUK community and on April 27th I am speaking at the Czechia Alumni Meet-up in Prague. Topic for both events? Supercharging your Networking!
Curious about these country-wide, government supported networks? In 2019, I wrote a paper for the Irish government creating a matrix for these networks – check it out here.

Contest winners!
Thank you to all that entered the contest, delighted with the response!
Through a random e-mail draw the winners are:
Josie Love – University of Southampton (UK)
Winner of a Next Gen Networking Webinar in 2023 and signed book!

Emily Moritz Kennedy – Milwaukee School of Engineering (USA)

Congratulations and I will be in touch!

A special anniversary next week – hope you can celebrate with us!

With alumni inspiration,
Maria
