Alum from Day One - that time of year

The students are back - our newest alumni!

Dear Friends:

In many parts of the world, students are back at college and university. For those stepping onto campus for the first time, they are our newest alumni! Yesterday my friend snapped a photo at the airport of a university branded booth welcoming students to the city and country. What a way to set a good tone for the year. Building an Alum From Day One strategy, supports students, with their wisps of life potential, to be nurtured by their university community. Check out some resources connecting students and alumni from the Alumni Friday archives for your reading/listening pleasure!

Your challenge this week:

For alumni-facing professionals: What does your Alum From Day One strategy look like? Consider the earliest intersections between alumni and students. Select relatable alumni as orientation keynotes, booth ambassadors and parents’ day speakers as a start.

For students and alumni: Following on from checking your contact details with your alma mater a few weeks' back, this Alumni Friday take time to check your own 'Student of' or 'Alum of' status is front and centre on your social media bio or profile. Internalizing this identity will spark your action and is your calling card to others about shared connections with the alumni community!

Did you know that I offer alumni advisory/coaching online to support the development of your alumni engagement strategy or inspire your alumni team? Book a Discovery Call to explore!

Yours with alumni inspiration,

Maria
