Alumni Reunions as a Sensory Experience

Alumni Reunions as a Sensory Experience

Dear Friends,

It’s late here in Ireland. It is during these after work hours that I complete my alumni volunteer leadership roles, including as President of the Alumni Association at my alma mater. And Alumni Reunion season is upon us!

My fellow alumni started planning for Alumni Reunion only weeks after last year’s reunion. I started thinking lately about how to increase engagement and interest in alumni reunions (do YOU press delete or ignore a reunion invitation?).

Then I thought of reconceptualising Alumni Reunions as sensory experiences. I have only scratched the surface on this five senses journey. Check out my latest article here.

Your challenge this week:

What is YOUR alumni reunion? Get curious. Mark the date in your diary and keep an open mind on why this event might be inspiring, insightful, intriguing and a fabulous way to (re)connect with others with a shared experience! Short and sweet today!

Please hit reply with your thoughts and reflections on reunions – I read them all!

Yours with alumni reunion inspiration,

Maria

Quote (from my latest article):

“Can all alumni be served through the reunion? Yes! I remain an alumni optimist. Each one of us can gain and give value - from attending an alumni reunion.”
